Kevin Beale & Colin Paddon are holding a thermal training day over at the Horsham club on the 29th April and we have been invited to go along. The venue is their club field (described in the post below about the BMFA F5J event). They will be helping pilots sort out models, learn techniques and just fly. They have a winch available and a couple of bungees as well as electric gliding. They may run a simple competition just to get the competitive juices going.
I am definitely going - anyone else interested in going?
Slope Soaring Sussex is a friendly group of RC glider flying enthusiasts based in Sussex, UK. We slope soar at various locations on the South Downs and have a field for thermal soaring. ‘Slope Soaring Sussex’ is a BMFA affiliated RC Glider-only flying club. We fly many types of RC gliders from conventional slope soarers to Scale, DLG, F3B, F3J, F5J, PSS and more. Our aim is to encourage and promote safe, responsible and enjoyable radio controlled model flying. New and experienced flyers welcome.
I`m stuck in a rut with my flying so learning anything new hopefully will get me motivated! Please pass on venue details.

Follow the direction link on the Horsham BMFA post. if weather is kind BBQ will be lit so bring along some food to cook / eat
Ran our of word space !! so bit more info. Our Club Glider evening in July is normally well attended so we are hopeful of a reasonable turnout. Many of us are 'part time' glider flyers so we will have a real mix of abilities flying so don't be put off.
