E-Flite Opterra
Here is my new toy for FPV flying. It wont be with me for another week or so but I am looking forward to trying it out on the slope and our flat field. Just looking into different types of OSD (On Screen Display) as I want either an audio or visual vario to get some idea if the model is in lift or not.
Will hopefully get some pics as the FPV kit is going in (as and when it all arrives).

Paul I saw the review in RCME, looks like a good platform for FPV, should also be good at soaring. Most OSD’s are just an interface between the camera, video TX and a flight controller such as a Naze 32. Except for the EzOSD. If you go on youtube the painless 360 videos explain it well. Just for V/spd and Alt maybe a vario. With all this electronic trickery you’ll be getting a Taranis next!
ReplyDeleteHi Mark. I haven't seen the RCM&E review. Will have to go out and buy a copy. I have looked and looked for a OSD with a vario and keep going back to the Eagle Tree Vector as it has audio as well as on screen graphics. With regard to the Teranis, well I can't even use the Spektrum so I have no hope!!
DeleteLooks like a super smooth flyer.
