  1. Very nice Will. It looks like a mega machine. Be able to fly her from the slope and from the flat. Now you will be cooking on gas.......

  2. Hi Will, I get very confused with all these F3xxx acronyms, What is F3F and F3B ? It looks a great model and it'll probably be a lot easier to fly than the foamies

  3. A very sleek stick, it's a wonder you managed to shoehorn the RC gear inside. Should go like s**t off a shovel with a full load of lead!

  4. Good question about the acronyms Rob. There's a full list of all the categories here:

F3F is slope (racing) glider whereas F3B is an all-rounder that can bungee from a flat field and thermals reasonably well (but not as well as a designated F3J thermal glider) as well as blast around on the slope.

In reality there seems to be a lot of overlap. I picked the Ascot because of its reputation for being stable, well-mannered and forgiving, as well as being very versatile, flying well in light as well as heavy lift and apparently thermals well from a bungee too. Will find out next weekend!
