Mill Hill (SW)

MILL HILL (SW)

Mill Hill is NOT an official flying site due to the fact that it's within Brighton City Airport Flight Restriction Zone and there is NO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING in place with the airport. Therefore the BMFA do not recognise it as a flying site.

Permission is required from Brighton City Airport Air Traffic Control before flying at Mill Hill
The phone number of ATCO at Brighton City Airport is 01273 467377

There is also a height limit for models - based on the incoming flight-path to the airport of 450 ft. therefore Models may not be flown higher than 100ft above the top of the hill.

*** Also a competent observer to accompany fliers is a good idea and recommended ***

The address of Mill Hill is  Mill Hill, Shoreham-by-Sea BN43 5FH

Here is a map of the site - click the map to enlarge

Mill Hill site is in a nature reserve and it is found by exiting the A27 at Shoreham Flyover, follow signs to A283 Shoreham, then take the left turn at the roundabout onto Upper Shoreham Road, then turn 3rd left into Erringham Road, then turn right into Mill Hill. Follow Mill Hill until you reach the nature reserve carpark on the left.
The flying site is immediately to the South of the carpark facing SW.
This site is shared with many dog walkers and walkers taking exercise in the Nature Reserve so consideration has to be given to these people when flying and landing.
