DITCHLING BEACON (S - SE)



Ditchling Beacon is one of our favourite flying sites in a gentle S to SE wind when the cliffs of the South Coast don't appeal.

The flying site in a S or SE wind is to the East of the carpark across the road and then through a gate to the South where the bowl can be found. It is a gentle bowl and it backs onto the road so care must be taken when landing behind the flight line.

In the summer it is a great place to fly DLGs in a light wind , it's not really a bowl for heavy or large-span gliders.
