Looking ahead into April

Like most of you I haven't done much flying lately. Went to Mill Hill with Ian on Saturday and got some stick time.
So, what's coming up in April to look forward too?

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th April, our good friend 'Welsh Steve' is visiting us for the weekend, so if possible it would be nice to get a group of us out flying with him. A bit of a soaring safari weekend. Visiting more of our slopes than normal. Could even be a trip to the Isle of Wight if the wind is from the South.

Sunday 22nd is the first SRFC glider comp at Ashurst. We have been invited to come along fly / watch. A 30 second burn with 10 minutes to try and stay airborne. Two classes available to fly in depending on your model's wingspan. Electric gliders only.

Sunday 29th April is the glider flying day at the Horsham Club. This is a soaring / intro day to thermal and flat field glider flying. Ian and myself went along last year and it was very interesting to go and see what's going on. We had an opportunity to try out the electric winches as well as bungees. It's a lovely flying club with really nice friendly people based down near Adversane. Come along even if its just to watch!

If anyone is interested in thermal flying I have a few thermal (rudder / elevator) models that I am happy to sell at silly low prices, just to get others into flying from the flat.

Let me know if any of the above dates are of interest to you and we can talk further about the arrangements etc...............
