Hey guys, it's Steve here from A470 Soaring in S Wales.
I thought I'd check out your page here and can't see that anyone has been out flying? So have you? If so, where are the stories, pictures & videos?
Here in Wales we were restricted to only travelling a maximum of 5 miles until 2 weeks ago, but now that has been released the guys have been finally getting out. So check out my video below of my 1st excursion to the slopes and I look forward to seeing what you've been up to again soon.
Slope Soaring Sussex is a friendly group of RC glider flying enthusiasts based in Sussex, UK. We slope soar at various locations on the South Downs and have a field for thermal soaring. ‘Slope Soaring Sussex’ is a BMFA affiliated RC Glider-only flying club. We fly many types of RC gliders from conventional slope soarers to Scale, DLG, F3B, F3J, F5J, PSS and more. Our aim is to encourage and promote safe, responsible and enjoyable radio controlled model flying. New and experienced flyers welcome.
Hi Steve, Thanks for your post. We've been in lockdown the same as you but haven't had the travel restrictions quite as severely as Wales. However, a few members have been venturing out over the last few weeks but we've been trying to avoid the larger gatherings that we used to enjoy before all this virus stuff came along. A number of us are in the vulnerable group so we've been keeping out of the public. Those who have ventured out have been letting the others know via the Whats App group as they probably don't have 'author' access to this blog. We will be keeping things up-to-date as much as possible and on the plus side we've got 6 new members in the last few weeks, so we're at a record membership. Stay in touch and thanks again for your post
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you Steve it's quite some years since I flew my fusion or wildthing with you. Glad to hear you're able to travel now.
