Ashdown Forest (E - SE)

ASHDOWN FOREST (E - SE)
Ashdown Forest is a very large tract of land which is managed by a group of 'Conservators' and they charge the BMFA South East area for the right to fly every year on their land.
Therefore the BMFA SE have to recover that money from the fliers at Ashdown.
The cost is fully funded by Ashdown Forest Flyers and if you want to fly at Ashdown Forest you must become a member

Here is their website Ashdown Forest Flyers

There are very rigorous restrictions on the type of model and the time of year flying can take place at the forest and these can be found at the following BMFA SE site plus a map of where fliers are allowed to fly

Our club does not regularly use the forest for group flying, however a number of our members use it regularly and there are also BMFA SE competitions running throughout the year on the Forest.

Finally, there are parking charges at the Forest carparks where flying takes place and these can be found at the following site -
