Last Saturday the Club gathered at a local Harvester pub to hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM). I am please to say that many members were in attendance but slightly less than last year. It was nice to get many members together in a convivial setting without the need for 4 layers of clothing and a wooly hat.
It was very nice to have the Club Chair in attendance this year as he was not able to attend the AGM last year.
A number of subjects were raised with justified arguments on both sides. We manage to produce a frame work for 2026 and also some possible events were identified.
The Committee for 2026 were voted in and they are the same individuals as this year except for our dear friend Kevin who sadly passed away recently after a short illness.
After the meeting some of the members stayed on to enjoy lunch and many conversations heard were involving model aircraft related subjects.
It was noted that this Blog site had over 150,000 hits over the past year which is very encouraging. I understand that many of our viewers are from overseas.
The Club membership now stands at 54 members with a cap set at 60 in total.
It seems that the Club is going from strength to strength and as the days are now becoming shorter many members are starting their winter build projects and we are looking forward to seeing these project in the new year.
Once again I would like to thank the members who attended the AGM and I am looking forward to seeing many of you on a slope in the very near future.
