Slope Soaring Sussex is a friendly group of RC glider flying enthusiasts based in Sussex, UK. We slope soar at various locations on the South Downs and have a field for thermal soaring. ‘Slope Soaring Sussex’ is a BMFA affiliated RC Glider-only flying club. We fly many types of RC gliders from conventional slope soarers to Scale, DLG, F3B, F3J, F5J, PSS and more. Our aim is to encourage and promote safe, responsible and enjoyable radio controlled model flying. New and experienced flyers welcome.

Horsham Glider Day - Update
Update 4th May - The weather wasn't as we would have wished last Sunday, but we still managed a reasonable turnout and an enjoyable few hours flying. Thanks to Kevin Beale for once again giving up his time to provide help and guidance.
The BMFA F5J is being held at the Horsham club on Sunday 13th May, please do come along and see what these competitions are like, you never know you may fancy entering once you have been to one and seen what is involved.
Just a quick reminder it is the Horsham Club Glider Day this Sunday 29th April. If its anything like last years event it should be a good day.
All types of glider welcome, we should have the winch and bungee in operation
We will also be trial running our Summer Glider Comp rules, over the summer on a Tuesday evening we will be running a series based on some fairly relaxed rules.
The BBQ will be lit so if your coming your welcome to bring the odd sausage or burger to cook.
Tea and Coffee will also be available,
Unfortunately, the weather doesn’t look favourable for this Sunday. Real shame as I was hoping to go along. Let’s hope they have got it badly wrong.
