Slope Soaring Sussex is a friendly group of RC glider flying enthusiasts based in Sussex, UK. We slope soar at various locations on the South Downs and have a field for thermal soaring. ‘Slope Soaring Sussex’ is a BMFA affiliated RC Glider-only flying club. We fly many types of RC gliders from conventional slope soarers to Scale, DLG, F3B, F3J, F5J, PSS and more. Our aim is to encourage and promote safe, responsible and enjoyable radio controlled model flying. New and experienced flyers welcome.

Highside Glider almost finished - now covered
I set aside this afternoon to complete the covering of my Highside glider. As most of you know I do like bright (easy to see) colours. So you should not be amazed that I have carried on the theme with fluorescent orange and black. Take a look at the build log and see how I got on.

Yes, a suitably garish colour scheme, well done. With regard to visibility and orientation, did you consider using a contrasting colour for the underside of the wings?
ReplyDeleteHi Russell. No, I didn't to be honest. All models become a block colour (usually black)when they get a few hundred feet away especially a model of this size. So I will see how I get on. I have some transfers to put on which I had made up for the glider (which is just the glider name in black).
